Our advanced, self-healing, polyisobutylene-based, non-crystalline hybrid-viscoelastic coatings, aggressively bonds to the substrate, creating an impervious protective film against moisture, oxygen, and corrosive elements.
Kema 250 is a PIB base coat consisting of an industry leading thickness of 250 mils / 6.5mm adhesion enhanced polyisobutylene module sealant.
It’s easily moldable into any irregular shape imaginable, is UV stable, can handle low and high heat installations up and can be stacked for added protection and assist in filling voids and caps in your piping system, exterior tank chime caps or as an insulating layer for protecting protrusions such as those seem on Thermite welds and Pin Brazes.

Kema 250-12 utilizes the same PIB sealant technology as the Kema 250 with the addition of a pre-bonded 12mils (300µm) UV stable polyethene backing eliminating the need for an additional PE or PVC wrap.
This hybrid viscoelastic tape wrap combines the performance of a CSA system FC4 & FC7 together in a single product.
Kema 250-12 exhibits similar self-healing characteristics of traditional viscoelastic products but with the added protection of nearly double the thickness of sealant and significantly increased adhesion to the substrate.

Kema Series 60 is a unique hybrid pipeline tape wrap providing 60mils (1524µm) thick enhanced polyisobutylene base sealant with a 5mil (127µm) UV stable pre-bonded polyethylene backing.
When applied at the recommended 50% overlap this pipeline tape system provided a total of 120mils (3048µm) of sealant with 2 preboned layers of structural polyethene protection.
The Kema Series 60 adhesion bond strength to primed steel far exceeds CSA Z245.30 system FC4 & FC7 standards with >1975 psi pull off (136 bar) adhesion while still leaving a layer of protective sealant during destructive adhesion testing.

With a mix ratio of 2:1 (2 parts A to 1 part B) this formula reduces the chances of costly “off-ratio” application, combined with an extended pot-life which allows for greater ease during plural component spray application.
